Welcome to this issue of the NewsFlash! There have been a lot of things happening in the ASG recently, and I know most of you are aware of them. Our beloved Vicky has stepped down from ASG command after 2 years of successful command and has handed over the reigns to Admiral Solr her second in command. Vicky has been very busy in real life, but has agreed to continue her command of Babylon Station. You can imagine we were all relieved that she hasn't disappeared on us completely.
Admiral Solr has taken up the reigns of the ASG with a new and fresh approach beginning with the assembly of Fleet Command. At the recent meeting of the command staff there were some excellent suggestions made including the following: The application is going to be updated, Captains and Executive officers will be working more with new members and their promotions. We will be updating the application page to better understand what new recruits want and need from the ASG and a survey should be coming out soon.
I'd also like to congratulate Captain Lake on his appointment as second in command of the ASG. Great work!

I'm
sure you all have heard by now that Vicky has resigned from her position as
Commander in Chief of the ASG. I have found myself thrust into a position that
can be, to say the least, overwhelming at times. I wouldn't be anywhere if it
weren't for the efforts of the Command Staff. Everyone is greatly appreciated,
more so than I think a lot of you realize. Today I need to acknowledge the
efforts of one member in particular. That would be Commodore Anne. She has taken
on a lot of responsibility both recently and in the past. Besides being the
editor for the ASG's newsletter, the
NewsFlash,
she's also taken on the tasks associated with welcoming new members and now
she's running a sim on top of all of that. I encourage all of you to
congratulate Anne whenever you see her on doing so well under the burden of so
many responsibilities and expectations. I look forward to seeing you all at the
sims.

Found a new puzzling question about life,

In the year Universal Century 0079, the Principality of Zeon invents a gigantic human-shaped weapon called the Mobile Suit (MS) and begins its war for independence against the Earth Federation. Zeon forces quickly defeat the now thoroughly outclassed Federation Navy and Invade the Earth. They quickly struck through the Federations forces on Earth as well due to the great power of their new weapon, leaving only a few nearly impenetrable bases in Space and on Land in Federation Hands.
Then the Federation began it’s own Mobile Suit program and developed the Gundam and other new Mobile Suits. The few Federation forces left on Land, Sea, and Space began Striking back at the Zeon Military on their own terms and gained back much of the lost territory but soon the offensive ground to a halt. This is where you come in join us and become a member of one of two of the Federations Elite Mobile Suit Units! The 04th and 5th MS Teams are Ready for you!
